There's a lot of photographs out there of the Western Cape and the Golden Gate Highlands National Park, and these are no more than passing impressions, always on the way to somewhere else - but while I love to study a place, see its changing moods, be ready to respond to them, there is also the excitement of discovery, a chance moment, a passing scene transformed by a momentary fall of light, all these are things that stop a photographer by the roadside, whatever the weather, whatever the business elsewhere.
